ZERO IS HERO

World leaders came together in 2015 and made a historic promise to secure the rights and well-being of everyone on a healthy, thriving planet when they adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).The Agenda remains the world’s roadmap for ending poverty, protecting the planet and tackling inequalities. 

The 17 SDGs  are a call for action by all countries to promote prosperity while protecting the planet.  The cornerstone of the Agenda, offer the most practical and effective pathway to tackle the causes of violent conflict, human rights abuses, climate change and environmental degradation and aim to ensure that no one will be left behind. The SDGs reflect an understanding that sustainable development everywhere must integrate economic growth, social well-being and environmental protection.

The ZeroAward? uses the official United Nations indicator framework for the Sustainable Development Goals and targets of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as a reference.The global indicator framework for Sustainable Development Goals was developed by the Inter-Agency and Expert Group on SDG Indicators and agreed upon at the 48th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission held in March 2017. 

The global indicator framework was later adopted by the General Assembly on 6 July 2017 and is contained in the Resolution adopted by the General Assembly on Work of the Statistical Commission pertaining to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In line with the mandate of the group, the IAEG-SDGs proposed 36 major changes to the framework in the form of replacements, revisions, additions and deletions.

• Global Participation: We aim to attract participation from designers, architects, engineers, technology innovators, and community organizations from all around the world. By expanding the scope of involvement, we will bring together diverse cultural backgrounds, professional expertise, and innovative thinking to collectively drive the development of sustainable design.

• Innovative Solutions: We look forward to seeing more innovative design solutions spanning various fields, from architectural design to urban planning, and from energy efficiency to renewable energy. These solutions will transcend traditional boundaries and offer feasible and sustainable design concepts.

• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: We encourage collaboration across different fields, such as the interdisciplinary cooperation between design and technology, engineering and social sciences. By integrating expertise from various domains, we can create more comprehensive and holistic sustainable design solutions.

Liability Limitation

1.Participants shall bear all related expenses incurred during the competition.
2. The organizer will make every effort to ensure the smooth progress of the competition but shall not be liable for any delay or modification due to force majeure.
3.The award presentation will be based on the evaluation results. The organizer and the evaluation committee shall not be liable for any disputes or dissatisfaction caused by the evaluation results.

Privacy Policy

4. The collected personal information is only used for organizing and managing the competition, including but not limited to confirming participant qualifications, contacting participants, sending competition notifications and rewards, and conducting evaluations.
5. We promise to take reasonable security measures to protect the personal information of participants and prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We will not disclose personal information to third parties without the consent of participants, unless required by laws and regulations or to protect our legitimate rights and interests.
6. Participants shall be deemed to have agreed to the content of this privacy policy when registering for the competition. If you disagree, please do not participate in the competition.
Anti-Cheating Policy
7. We define cheating as any attempt to obtain an unfair advantage through deception, fraud, or violation of the competition rules, including but not limited to plagiarism, theft, forgery, use of external assistance, and tampering with work.
8. We will adopt a zero-tolerance attitude towards cheating behavior and reserve the right to take appropriate punitive measures, including but not limited to cancellation of eligibility, confiscation of rewards, public exposure, and limitation of participation in future competitions. 

Final Explanation Right

9. The organizer of the competition has the final interpretation right for the rules, eligibility, evaluation criteria, award settings, etc., of this competition. Any disputes or questions that arise during the competition will be ultimately explained and decided by the organizer, and such explanation and decision shall be final.
10. The organizer reserves the right to adjust and modify the competition rules under the circumstances and needs of the competition, provided that it does not violate laws and regulations and the principle of fairness. Any adjustment and modification of the competition rules will be notified to the participants in the form of an announcement and explained and described appropriately before the competition.
11. By registering for the competition, participants shall be deemed to have agreed to accept the final interpretation right of the organizer and promised to comply with the competition rules and the organizer's decisions. If any disputes or question
